Abstract submission
Abstracts to be submitted may take form of:
- Scientific papers: are original contributions to the science of occupational health and hazards in nursing with a clear statement of objectives, methods, and results.
- Opinion/Future Vision Papers: address the way forward and issues along the Occupational Health and Nursing.
- Review Papers: Explore the state-of-the-art in occupational health and hazards in nursing practice, and evaluate the key aspects and implications of the current situations internationally, across a multiprofessional spectrum or within the discipline of nursing.
All abstracts will be reviewed by three independent reviewers. Evaluation will stress the originality of the submission the contribution to the occupational health hazards in nursing care and the clarity of exposition. Accepted abstracts will be printed in the conference proceedings.
The deadline for submission is October 15, 2001. Authors whose submissions are accepted for presentation will receive confirmaton by November 1, 2001.
All submissions must be received electronically by e-mail to: deptnur@imul.com and must include:
- Oral submission or poster submission with the first author's name at the subject line of the e-mail.
- In the text of the e-mail the full wording of the paper title and the full list of the authors.
- An attached file of the electronic copy of the abstract must be sent in in Ms Word format.
- The length of the abstract should not exceed 300 words.
- All abstracts must include the title(s), the author's address, the telephone and fax numbers.
Anyone wishing to present a paper, symposia or poster at the OHH Conference should relate it to the following sub themes:
- How Nurses' work canbe made easier and safer
- Health Insurance
- Medical protectives
- Clinical and community expereinces OHH
- The role of education in the prevention of OHH
- The role of national health departments in the prevention of OHH
- National and International strategies for assuring quality healthcare
- Government policies for workers regarding OHH
- Risks and compensation at work place
- OHH issues in disasters, wars and epidemics
- The impact of OHH on the nursing profession
